8. WHY TODAY NEEDS A FEMALE SECRETARY OF STATE.
This is not saying a man can't do the job. But can we just for a moment look dispassionately on what the purpose of the job is. For example can we agree that after the President it is the second most visible position as to how the rest of the world guages American involvement in Foreign affairs. To put it more crudely Henry Kissinger practiced shuttle dimplomacy between Israel and the Arabs. Madeline Albright let Clinton do the talking and Bush let Colin Powell take the fall.
Foreign Policy is the name of the game for the White House. The reality being that our global trouble spots are run by men.
In all those social structures right down the line to the individual household, men rule. It is a known fact that our present leader chose to to offer his opponent (Hillary Rodham Clinton) any position, of her choosing in his government, should he be elected President.
Hillary, allowed the choice, chose Secretery of State. Hillary wisely appointed 'Special Envoys' to take responsibility for Iran, North Korea and Pakistan.
China, Japan, India, Eastern Europe, Malaysia, Idonesia, Africa, Iraq, Iran the list goes on, are societies in which men dominate. It is unfortunately an inarguable fact.
The freedom gained by western women is a direct threat to their established culture. Their Leaders, all men, would in fact loose face and be seen as mere puppets of America if they publicly treated a women as an equal. A woman could not be seen to influence any negotiation or be credited for winning concessions, hence the appointment of those special male envoys.
